Footage of Kerry seen by millions of viewers on Top Gear last night, has afforded the county priceless exposure.
That’s according to Kerry TD Brendan Griffin who wrote to the producers of the BBC show in 2014 and 2015 inviting them to Kerry.
He said last night’s footage was “beautifully shot” and showed “Kerry at its finest”.
Hosts Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc filmed scenes in Killarney, Kenmare and the Dingle Peninsula last month.
The resulting footage screened was a big hit with viewers with many taking to social media.
Well-known British celebrity Philip Schofield was one of those tweeting, saying he had “fallen in love with the Dingle Peninsula”.
