A special emergency meeting of councillors in the Killarney Municipal District is to be held to discuss the fallout from the recent incidents of flooding in the area.
Several roads and properties in the Killarney area were adversely affected by the floods and councillors there believe there needs to be an urgent and detailed discussion on how to respond.
It’s anticipated that similar meetings will be convened in the three other municipal areas in the coming days.
Fianna Fáil councillor, Niall Kelleher is one of the councillors in the Killarney Municipal District which is expected to meet early next week.
