« BackSouth Kerry nursery to go into liquation with loss of one full time job

A South Kerry nursery is to go into liquation with the loss of one full time job.

Anthos Teoranta has been trading for more than four decades in Ballinskelligs.

A liquidator is expected to be appointed Monday week.

Anthos Teoranta has been producing shamrock and other plants in Ballinskelligs, and supplying garden centres in Munster for 42 years.

The two directors of the company are Joe Sugrue and Pat Everett; Mr Sugrue has been working full time in the business, which has also taken on a number of casual workers every year.

Both directors say the company is entering liquation as director Mr Everett wants to retire from the business.

A meeting of creditors is to be held in the Malton Hotel Killarney on the 29th of August at 11am, where Marcus Treacy of OCKT Ltd Killarney is to be appointed liquidator.
