« BackSouth Kerry men row across Dingle Bay in aid of oncology ward

Four South Kerry men rowed from Dingle to Valentia last Friday in a traditional four-oar boat to raise €5,000 for the oncology ward at Kerry General Hospital and Valentia Community Hospital.

Muiris Walsh was joined by Paul Murphy, Dan Driscoll, Tony MacGillycuddy and cox Leo Houlihan in the endeavor last Friday – which had been thwarted seven times previously due to poor weather.


After being given the go-ahead earlier in the day, the group set out on the journey with local fisherman man Laurence Benison in support – following them across the channel in his boat.
