« BackSocial farming project in Kerry expands

Kenmare land agricultural farmA programme where people with disabilities are invited onto Kerry farms has received a major boost.

The Kerry Social Farming initiative is run by South Kerry Development Partnership and a committee.

Contracts have now been signed to allow the roll out of the National Social Farming Pilot Project in the county and to develop a network around the country.

Both contracts were awarded by the Department of Agriculture.

The pilot project will now allow 15 farms and 26 people with disabilities to participate in Kerry.
