The report by senior foreign correspondent, Mark Phillips, was shown on Thursday night to an estimated 21 million viewers.

Phillips, who visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site earlier this month, describes the island as being like something only a Hollywood set designer would dream up.

He talks to US holidaymakers who were encouraged to visit the site after seeing ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’.

He also speaks to local poet Paddy Bushe about fears the island’s history would be forgotten by tourists hoping to visit a movie set.
