The south west Kerry coast appears to have been the focus of film-makers today as speculation mounts that the Star Wars shoot on Skellig Michael is imminent.
Radio Kerry has been told that a Dublin production company is shooting a commercial off Portmagee close to the island and that this has apparently no connection to the Star Wars film. The Office of Public Works which is responsible for Skellig Michael says there’s been no filming on the island today. However, camera crews have been seen in Portmagee. Following the filming of scenes for Star Wars VII on Skellig Michael last summer, producers of the movie are said to be returning to Kerry to shoot for the sequel.
