A lecture about Skellig Michael is taking place in Killarney Library this evening.
The Kerry Archaeological and Historical Society is hosting the lecture entitled “New Insights into Skellig Michael: Kerry’s UNESCO World Heritage Site”.
The talk will be delivered by Archaeologist Maggie Prendiville and will include a review of the Skelligs as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the general aspects of the location and its fragility.
Given the recent activity on the island for the upcoming Star Wars film the lecture will look at the suitability of the island as a film location in the future.
The lecture begins at 7.30pm and admission is free.
