Kerry County Council and the Department of Social Protection are providing assistance to six Tralee families made homeless by the flooding of recent days.
The council placed the families in temporary accommodation as most of them are tenants of the local authority.
The local Community Welfare Service is working closely with the families and they expect more people affected by the floods in Kerry to contact them.
Deputy Arthur Spring says the Community Welfare Service is available to advise anyone displaced by flooding.
Financial aid is available through the Department of Social Protection’s Humanitarian Assistance Fund.
