Seven Kerry secondary schools have a 100 per cent rate or higher in terms of students progressing to third level.
The figures are published in today’s Irish Examiner.
Some schools have a rate over 100 per cent as some colleges use different methods in compiling data which can lead to double counting.
Coláiste Ide, Dingle, Listowel Community College, Tralee Community College, Presentation Secondary Listowel, St Joseph’s Secondary in Ballybunion, Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí and Mean Scoil Nua An Leith Triuighin Castlegregory all have a feeder rate of 100 per cent or higher.
The Institute of Technology, Tralee was the most popular choice for Kerry students progressing to third level, followed by UCC and the University of Limerick.
At 43 Mercy Mounthawk Secondary School Tralee provided the most students to the Institute of Technology in Tralee.
This was followed by Causeway Comprehensive and CBS, The Green, Tralee.
42 students each from Mercy Mounthawk and the Intermediate School in Killorglin went to University College Cork.
