A senator produced over 70,000 calendars for 2016 using the Oireachtas printing service.
That’s according to documents released under the Freedom of Information Act to the Irish Times.
The Irish Times reveals that Independent Senator Averil Power used the Oireachtas “in-house” printing service to produce 73,000 calendars.
Printing is available to all TDs and Senators to send individualised Christmas cards and other printed items to constituents.
Fine Gael TD Kieran O’Donnell and Fianna Fail TD Niall Collins printed 30,000 items each.
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan printed 17,500 items.
Two Kerry Oireachtas members are included in the documents.
Independent TD Michael Healy-Rae got 11,700 items including Christmas cards and calendars.
Fine Gael Senator Paul Coghlan printed 3,900 cards and calendars.
