The search for a Chinese national, missing off the North Kerry coast, is continuing today.
The man went into the water at Kerryhead yesterday afternoon – he’s believed to have been fishing with friends on the cliff-side at the time.
Conditions in the area are described are poor due to a large swell.
Valentia Coastguard told Radio Kerry News that Shannon Rescue Helicopter 115 arrived at the scene at approximately 9.20am this morning, at which time the search re-commenced.
Naval Vessel the LÉ Orla is the operation’s on-scene commander and Fenit Lifeboat is also assisting in the search, with on-shore assistance from Glenderry and Ballybunion Coastguard Units.
