« BackGardaí warn of roads flooded

Killarney Gardaí are advising motorists to avoid going up through the Black Valley as the area to Derrynafunsha is flooded.

Radio Kerry News is also receiving reports of flooding on the Glenbeigh to Caherciveen Road near Glenbeigh.

Meanwhile a road near Castlemaine has reopened after a landslide and fallen tree blocked it.

The road at Lisardboula was closed earlier this afternoon.

Kerry County Council has cleared the blockages and the road’s now opened.

Gardaí in Listowel are attending the scene of a single motorbike accident on the road heading down to the ferry in Tarbert.
Also there is bad flooding on the Listowel – Liselton road on the Listowel side of Inch cross.
Tralee Gardaí have been advised of flooding at Curaheen and in Ardfert.

Bad flooding has also been reported on the Castleisland to Tralee road, about 500 yards from O’Riadas on the Castleisland side.
The Kenmare to Sneem road is flooded, also there are reports that the Toonanooka bridge near Gneeveguilla in blocked.

Gardai in Dingle are warning that the road from Castlegregory to Dingle is treacherous because of surface water.
It IS passable, but just about – those using the road should exercise caution
