« BackRoad improvement projects to go ahead in Dingle and Killorglin

Several road improvement projects have been signed off on by councillors.

The works were approved at a special meeting of the South and West Kerry Municipal District.

The council is to realign the N71 Mill Road/ Market Street junction in Killorglin to improve pedestrian facilities, which includes footpath improvements.

In the Mall in Dingle a new controlled pelican type pedestrian crossing including traffic lighting, paving and road markings is to be installed.

Also in Dingle, Strand Street is to be made more pedestrian-friendly by introducing temporary measures on a trial basis.
