The three-day West Kerry event has become one of the country’s top food festivals with an estimated 12,000 people attending last year’s festival alone.

The showcase of the Dingle Food Festival is a two-day taste trail around the town, with 76 outlets participating.

The Blas na hÉireann Irish Food Awards will also take place.

This evening from 6pm, the portion of Strand Street near Paddy Bawns will be closed to facilitate vendors setting up.

Green Street is closed to traffic from 11-6 on Saturday and 1-6 on Sunday – as is Bridge Street, Dykegate Lane and Gray’s Lane.

The Tracks and Main Street are open to traffic throughout – with festival parking available adjacent to Dingle Mart and the Spa Road.
