Thousands of anti-water charge protesters have descended on Dublin for the first demonstration of its kind in almost six months.
Organised by Right2Water the protest is taking place in two different locations in the city centre – Heuston Station and O’Connell Street.
TD Paul Murphy from the Anti Austerity Alliance says today’s event will demonstrate to Irish Water and the Government that the movement hasn’t gone away.
Anti-water charge protesters from Kerry have also travelled to the capital to take part.
