Members of the public are invited to bring any historical documents in their family along to have them assessed by the experts today.
The Revolutionary Decade Roadshow is the first official event in Kerry’s 2016 Centenary Programme and takes place at the Kerins O’Rahilly GAA club in Tralee.
The event runs from 11am to 5pm and professional archivists and historians will be on hand to offer advice on the historical value of the items presented.
The event is organised by Kerry County Council and UCC’s School of History.
It’s aimed at anyone with an interest in the ‘revolutionary decade’ of modern Irish history including the 1916 Rising, the War of Independence and the Civil War.
