« BackRevenue warns about latest email and telephone scam

The Revenue Commissioners has warned it is not emailing or telephoning taxpayers seeking their credit card details.

This follows reports from people who say they have been contacted by people purporting to be from Revenue regarding their tax affairs.
Revenue said it never requires its customers to send personal information via email or pop-up windows.
It advises anyone who has responded to these fraudulent calls or emails to contact their bank or credit card company immediately.
