« BackRetirement of long-serving council executive Oliver Ring announced

A long-serving member of the executive of Kerry County Council is retiring.

Oliver Ring Kerry County Council Director of Water & Emergency Services, Director of Environmental Services

Oliver Ring, who’s been Director of Water Services for the last 11 years, attended his last monthly meeting of the local authority on Monday.

A native of Caherciveen, Mr Ring joined the council as a senior executive engineer in 1995.

Since then he has held positions as acting Deputy County Engineer and Director of Services before his appointment to his current position in 1995.

Prior to joining Kerry County Council Mr Ring worked for MC O’Sullivan Consulting Engineers in Cork and Clare County Council.
