Residents at a housing estate in Firies are calling on government to help identify who owns three derelict houses in the estate.
Greenfields estate in Firies was in a state of semi completion when the construction stopped at the onset of the financial crisis.
Following a campaign by residents a company was appointed by the bondsman to carry out the resolution works on sewers, footpaths, water, public lighting and landscaping.
Kerry County Council are due to take the estate in charge however there are three houses in a state that are reportedly under the control of a reciever however it’s understood there are unknown issues preventing their sale.
Les Brozozka lives in Greenfields and says in the middle of a houseing crisis it makes no sense to have houses derelict.
