« BackPrincipals praise dedication of Kerry Leaving Cert students

Reaction to this year’s Leaving Cert results across the county has been, for the most part, positive.

Feedback in particular for English, Irish and Maths has been good, despite initial concerns.

According to Principal of St Brigid’s Presentation Secondary School in Killarney, Roisín Moore, the extra points for students doing honours maths was particularly welcome:

In West Kerry, students at Castlegregory’s Meán Scoil Nua an Leith Triúigh were very happy with their results.

According to príomhoide na scoile, former All-Ireland winner with Kerry Aodán MacGearailt, the results were solid.

He added however this can be a difficult time for students and parents and it’s important to support them through the process:


Meanwhile, Deputy Principal of Killorglin Community College Donal O’Reilly says this year’s Leaving Cert group worked very hard and it is great to see their dedication being rewarded.
