Mary Brosnan, who is principal of the Educate Together school in Tralee, says there is a growing demand for secular schools among parents. Tarbert native and chair of the Forum on Patronage and Pluralism, Professor John Coolahan, has recently called on the Department of Education to make progress on the divestment of schools to other patrons.
