« BackPlanning sought for doctor’s surgery in Rathmore

Rathmore Social Action Group have applied for planning permission for a doctor’s surgery following a request from the Health Service Executive.

Rathmore Social ActionThe group is seeking change of use of part of the day care premises to a surgery for a GP.

Rathmore has been without a full-time GP for 18 months; a doctor does hold a clinic every Thursday in the village.

The HSE says in the long term it is planning to build a Primary Care Centre in Rathmore and in response to a parliamentary question by Kerry TD John Brassil it says it remains committed to getting a GP full-time for the village.
