Permission has been granted for a car park for Killarney.
An Bord Pleanála has overturned a decision by Kerry County Council to refuse the development.
On February 17th last Kerry County Council refused to grant planning permission to Con Duggan for the car park.
The proposal is to develop 142 car parking spaces at Scrahane, Flesk Road on the 0.6 hectare site.
The decision of the local authority was appealed by Con Duggan to the planning appeals board.
An Bord Pleanala has now granted permission subject to a number of conditions.
The board overturned Kerry County Council’s ruling due to the zoning of the site and due to it being located beside the N71.
The board also sought to have ten bicycle stands included in the site and a landscaping scheme is to be submitted.
