« BackPedestrian in his 20s dies following Lisselton crash

A young man has been killed following a road traffic collision in Lisselton.
The collision between a car and a pedestrian occurred at 4 o’clock this morning at Barnadarrig, Ballybunion.
The 24-year-old pedestrian was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene, and has been removed to Kerry General Hospital.The 25-year-old male driver of the car was also injured and taken to Kerry General Hospital but his injuries are described as not serious.
The road is currently closed between Lisselton Cross and Ahafone Cross, to facilitate a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.
Gardai in Listowel are appealing for witnesses, or anyone who may have been on the Lisselton to Ballybunion Rd between 2am and 4am, to contact them in Listowel on 068 21000.
