Dozens of free events will take place in Kerry this evening as part of Culture Night.
The annual cultural celebration – now in its tenth year – will see towns, villages and communities all over the county play host to free music, film, and visual arts events.
The programme of events runs from 6pm to 11pm.
There are Culture Night events planned in Killarney, Listowel, Tralee, Kenmare, Castleisland and Dingle as well as in Killorglin, Ardfert, Ballinskelligs, Ballyferriter, Ballybunion and Waterville.
The countywide programme includes visual arts, music, dance, film, workshops and performances for all ages and all events are free of charge.
In Tralee Sliabh Mish Comhaltas are in Kerry County Museum at 6pm and Comhaltas Chiarraí will also be holding an outdoor ceilí in Tralee Town Square from 7.30pm.
Kerry Film Festival will host an Open Air Cinema in Pearse Park and there will be fire juggling at the Ashe Memorial Hall.
The Department of Arts in Killarney will be hosting the opening of the inaugural Kerry Visual Artists’ Showcase exhibition at 6.30pm.
There are also Afro Trad, salsa workshops and percussion sessions.
In Kenmare, there are art exhibitions, there’ll be pottery making in Ballyferriter and a guided tour of the Pauline Bewick collection in Killorglin.
