There are over 51,000 premises in Kerry with no broadband. According to the Irish Independent, over 42,000 homes and 8,500 businesses in the county are without a broadband connection.

Killarney, Tralee and Listowel are well served by commercial providers, however, there are deficiencies in other towns such as Killorglin, Cahersiveen and Kenmare. The largest built-up area which is not served by a commercial provider is Farranreagh, on the island of Valentia.
