Over 480 householders in Kerry took part in Irish Water’s scheme to fix leaks up to March.
The utility estimates there is a 56 per cent leakage of water from the network in Kerry.
Irish Water’s First Fix Free scheme was launched in 2015 and almost 2,400 properties in Kerry have leaks on the customer side.
Around 950 investigations have been carried out for leaks on Kerry properties in the period.
Deputy John Brassil is urging customers to avail of the scheme given the high rate of leakage in the county.
