CSO figures this afternoon also reveal that Jack and Amelia were the most popular names for baby boys and girls in the county last year.
The birth, deaths and marriage statistics for 2015 reveal 862 baby boys were born in the Kerry last year, while there was 842 newborn girls.
121 children were born to mothers over the age of 40, while 27 new mothers were under the age of 20.
Jack remains the most popular name for baby boys, and Amelia was the most popular name for newborn girls.
There was a total of 1,199 deaths in 2015, with a total of 602 men and 597 women passing away, while nationally there was 22,116 marriages in 2015, of which 91 were same-sex weddings.
