Organisers of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle say questions contained in the online lottery have no bearing on people’s chances of being selected.
So far there are 9,000 entries in the online lottery system for the popular annual event, which takes on July 2nd.
Participants are asked how much they intend to raise for charity when applying for the lottery.
Cyclists can also sign up with one of the selected charities to benefit from the event with a suggested minimum of €170 to be raised.
This figure was arrived at based on the average amount raised by individual cyclists in recent years.
PRO of the Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle Cathal Walshe says participants have five months to raise the balance after paying the registration, which he thinks is attainable for most participants.
