« BackOrange weather alert for Kerry today

An orange weather alert has been put in place by Met Eireann for Kerry from midday.
Property owners and motorists are being urged to take extra care. This weather alert means west to southwest winds will reach average speeds of 60 to 75 km/hr with gusts of 100 to 120 km/hr. Such wind speeds may result in a risk of damage or injury from falling trees or flying debris. Kerry County Council is advising property owners to ensure that bins and loose objects such as hoardings and signage are secured or removed. It also advises motorists to exercise extreme caution on our roads, particularly from midday onwards.
This warning is valid until 6pm.
