« BackOlympic Council of Ireland launches investigation following allegations of ticket fraud in Rio

The Olympic Council of Ireland has launched an investigation into claims a man accused of ticket fraud in Rio was selling tickets allocated to them.

Kevin Mallon was arrested in Rio on Friday along with a translator.

The OCI says it has no knowledge of the alleged offence – despite the fact that Mr Mallon works for THG Sports, who was the Olympic Council of Ireland’s official ticket re-seller for the London games.
