Brian O’Sullivan of 12 Killarney Holiday Village, Muckross Road, Killarney is accused of causing criminal damage at Torc Heights, Dennehey’s Boreen on October 1st last.
He told Killarney District Court he had been in custody since then.
Gardaí objected to a bail because the accused, Brian O’Sullivan, was on bail when it is alleged the offence occurred.
Inspector John Brennan told Killarney District Court the accused also had a history of nine bench warrants for failing to appear in court.
He said Mr O’Sullivan had 50 previous convictions, many of which were committed while he was on bail.
The accused had been denied bail at the High Court on December 5th.
He told the district court he had been drug free since St Patrick’s Day last year and said he would abide by any conditions imposed by the court.
He also denied he had been involved in an altercation with the owners of the property where the alleged offence occurred.
Judge James O’Connor remanded him in custody to January 19th for service of the book of evidence.
