« BackÓ Sé initially ‘dubious’ about O’Connor’s return

Former Kerry footballer Tomás Ó Sé has said he was ‘dubious’ about Jack O’Connor’s return as Kerry manager in 2009.

Excerpts from the wing back’s autobiography – which is entitled ‘The White Heat’ – were published this weekend in the Irish Independent and the Sunday Independent.

In the book, The Sunday Game panelist says that the level of detail in Jack O’Connor’s own autobiography was “an issue” for him – however the Árd a’Bhothair man also hails O’Connor as the most successful coach he’s played under.

The West Kerry native also reveals in ‘The White Heat’ that a game against Cork in Killarney in 2002 was the only time his late father Mícheál saw him and his brothers Marc and Darragh play together for Kerry.
