12pm – This afternoon’s county final between Dingle and Dr. Crokes is of particular interest to one Kerry nun. Sr. de Salles from the Presentation Convent in Dingle trained 12 of the Dingle players in ball-catching skills when they were 4-year-olds under her care. The Lixnaw native has been football mad since her own childhood and only regrets that she never got to play ladies football herself. However, she fondly recalls the early training sessions that have resulted in Dingle competing in the county final for the first time since 1951.
