One of the main arteries into Kerry has been identified as the second most lethal carriageway in the country.
The N21 Limerick to Tralee road was the scene of 11 fatal accidents between 2010 and 2012.
In the same two-year period, 163 people were injured on this stretch of road.
The figures from the Road Safety Authority reported in today’s Irish Times show that the N25 Cork to Waterford road had the highest death toll at 12.
This was just one fatality more than was recorded on the N21 in the same period.
