There was no joy for Kerry’s Michael Fassbender at the Oscars last night.

The Killarney man was nominated in the Best Actor category for his role in the movie Steve Jobs, but as expected, lost out to Leonardo de Caprio.
However, there was some success for the Irish contingent at the Academy Awards.
Irish short film ‘Stutterer’ took home the Oscar for Best Short Film, while Bree Larson won Best Actress for her role in the film ‘Room’, based on the book by Irish writer Emma O’Donoghue.
