« BackNo arrest made following Rose of Tralee Dome protest

The protestor who rushed the stage in the Dome last night at the Rose of Tralee selection has not been arrested.

 

Fathers4Justice founder, 49-year-old Matt O’Connor, ran on stage during the Cavan Rose Lisa O’Reilly’s interview with Dáithí Ó Sé.

 

He was holding a photograph of his son Archie and was subsequently removed from the stage.

A statement released by Gardaí has since confirmed that following the incident a “male accompanied Gardaí to the station voluntary where his details were verified”.

 

The statement went on to say that “the Dome is a private venue and there was no offence committed”, before reiterating the man “was not arrested and no offence committed”.
