« BackNext phase of psychiatric nurses’ industrial action put on hold

The next phase of industrial action planned by the Psychiatric Nurses’ Association, including 130 members in Kerry, has been put on hold.

The national executive council of the group is meeting on Thursday to discuss proposals agreed with the HSE and Department of Health in the Workplace Relations Commission.
The dispute centres on the retention and recruitment of nurses to mental health services.
Nationally, over 600 nursing posts are vacant in the mental health sector.
