Maggie McEldowney is today spending her first full-day as the new Rose of Tralee.
The 27-year-old last night became the 58th holder of the title in front of a packed Dome.
Maggie, who works as the Director of Development in a Chicago high school, was first on stage last night and sang “A Little Bit of Heaven”.
The active fundraiser’s Irish roots come from Derry and she says she is thrilled to represent Chicago, which hasn’t won the title in almost 30 years.
Maggie can’t wait to spend a lot more time in Ireland:
And you can hear more with the 2016 Rose of Tralee who will be live in studio on Kerry Today this morning with Treasa Murphy.
