« BackNew Cystic Fibrosis Unit opens at Cork University Hospital

A new Cystic Fibrosis Unit at Cork University Hospital is being officially opened today by Minister of State Kathleen Lynch.
The unit is the second largest adult Cystic Fibrosis centre in Ireland and caters for 160 patients in Munster.
It was funded by Build4Life, a charity set up by Castleisland man Joe Browne, that raised €2.3 million to build the facility.
Mr Browne said the opening was the culmination of many years of work by hundreds of people and he has paid tribute to the people who fundraised for the project or donated money.
