A Killarney woman has been given a two year suspended sentence in relation to drugs offences following a garda investigation into the death of a Millstreet man after taking a hallucinogenic drug earlier this year.
Today at Cork Circuit Criminal Court – 29 year old Harry Clifton with an address at St Finbarr’s Place, Proby’s Quay was jailed for six months.
20 year old Jessica O’Connor from Ballyhar, Killarney, and 22-year old Ruairi Maher from Thurles, Co Tipperary got two year suspended sentences.
They had pleaded guilty to different charges of supplying N-Bomb.
18-year old Alex Ryan from Millstreet died last January after taking the potent drug at a student house party in the city.
His sister Nicole says the sentences handed down to those who supplied the drug are appalling and give the wrong message to other young people.
