Gardaí have launched a murder inquiry following the death of a 24 year old Russian man who was attacked last Wednesday in Tralee.
24 year old Dmitry Hrynkevich was discovered by Gardaí in the front garden of a house that he was living in at Killeen Woods.
He was rushed to Kerry General Hospital but died last Friday.
The deceased also had addresses at Aghadoe, Killarney, and Bishop’s Court, Killarney.
Two men, aged in their 20’s and 30’s arrested in connection with this investigation and detained at Tralee and Killarney Garda Stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 have both been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Investigating officers upgraded their inquiries to that of a murder investigation last night following a post mortem examination – the results of which is not being released for operational reasons.
