« BackMother of Dónal Walsh urges those dealing with depression to seek help

The mother of the late Dónal Walsh has urged those with depression to seek help.

Elma Walsh has written the foreword to ‘My Mental Health Matters’, a booklet documenting the personal experiences of students and staff at University College Cork.

Kerry teenager Dónal Walsh came to national prominence when he made a plea for young people not to consider suicide – he at the time was battling cancer.

He passed away in May 2013.

The ‘My Mental Health Matters’ booklet has been produced with the help of the Dónal Walsh #LifeLife Foundation and has been launched ahead of World Suicide Prevention Day on September 10.
