« BackMore time sought for book of evidence in Waterville robbery case

Tralee courthouseMore time has been sought to prepare a book of evidence in a case of two men charged in connection with a robbery at Waterville Post Office.

The case came before Judge James O’Connor at Tralee District Court.


32-year old Brian O’Sullivan with an address at Coolies, Muckross, Killarney and 36-year-old Marcus O’Rourke of Rathanane, Kilcummin are both charged with four offences each in connection with the robbery on the 3rd of August.

These are the robbery of cash to the value of approximately €5,000 from Waterville post mistress Lisa O’Reilly Foran; ramming a garda car; having a firearm – or imitation firearm – with intent to commit an offence; and damage to garda property.

The court heard that extra time was being sought to prepare the book of evidence in the case.

This was granted by Judge James O’Connor who remanded the pair in custody to the sitting of Tralee District Court on October 19th.
