« BackMore than 38,500 people have lost their lives on Irish Roads

CandleMore than 38-and-a-half-thousand people have lost their lives on our roads since records began 84 years ago.

This year alone there have been 131 deaths across the island of Ireland.

Chief Superintendent Mark Curran of the Garda National Traffic Bureau thinks complacency is a major problem.

Meanwhile here in Kerry there was a special memorial mass for road victims in St. Mary’s Cathedral, New Street Killarney at 12pm today.

While a memorial mass also took place in St Mary’s Church Listowel this morning.
