Many Kerry motorists are still not getting the message that you should never drink and drive.
That’s according to Chief Supt Pat Sullivan, who says 307 people were arrested for drink driving during 2015.
This figure covered the period from January 1 up to the middle of December, with figure expected to rise once the Christmas and new year arrests are compiled.
As well as this, a further 11 people were arrested during the year in Kerry, for being under the influence of drugs while driving.
Chief Supt Sullivan appealed to people not to consume even one alcoholic drink, if they intend to drive.
He also warned motorists not to drive the next morning, if they’ve been out late consuming alcohol.
