« BackMinister says Labour Party ready to go before people anytime

The Education Minister says the Labour Party is ready to go before the people at anytime in an election.

However, Jan O’Sullivan says they want to continue in the coalition into the spring so they can complete the programme for Government.The minister says the clear indication from Government is that the election will not be called in November and it will run to its full term.
Her party colleague Kerry North West Limerick Deputy Arthur Spring says there is an agreement between Fine Gael and Labour that the election will be held in the spring and an early poll would break trust between the coalition partners.
