A Kerry TD says he is working closely with the Minister for Transport to secure funding to re-establish vehicular access for residents in mid-Kerry following the collapse of a local road.
Part of the Cliff Road near Rossbeigh collapsed into the sea in September leaving 14 homes cut off with only pedestrian access remaining.
Kerry County Council says that the only viable solution following the collapse of the road is to construct a brand new road by cutting into the cliff face.
This is estimated to cost in the region of €1 million.
Fine Gael’s Brendan Griffin says he is working with Minister Paschal Donohoe to secure a viable solution.
