A mass power-outage left hundreds of homes in West Kerry without electricity for several hours last night.
The fault occurred at approximately a quarter to 7pm yesterday evening.
Customers in Baile an Mhuilinn, Cuas, Ventry, Dún Chaoin, Ballyferriter, Gallarus, Baile na nGall and Feothneach were affected.
Parts of Dingle town was also left without power.
It was several hours before power was restored – most areas had electricity by midnight.
ESB Networks said the fault was due to an incident involving a pole and a ‘third party’.
Several B&B owners in West Kerry have voiced their dissatisfaction following the power cut which occurred at the height of the busy tourist season.
